OVERVIEW:  The Spanish club at Cambridge Prep Academy will be a teacher sponsored, student run organization. Students do not have to be currently enrolled in a Spanish course to join. This club is meant to increase student knowledge of Hispanic culture and the Spanish language and a variety of activities that will encourage leadership and promote peer to peer teaching.

 

COST:  Spanish Club fee is $20.00. This fee is a contribution toward the cost of materials for activities as well as includes a Spanish Club T-shirt. We may hold fundraisers to raise additional funds that may go toward field trips, and/or additional activities.

 

MEETINGS:  Meetings will be held from 3pm to 4:30pm every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month. Group will gather in Ms. J’s room. If there are any schedule changes, they will be announced. Student representatives (elected based on grades/behavior) may have separate meetings to discuss club business outside of those dates and times. Those dates and times are to be announced. Members must attend all meetings unless there is extenuating circumstances. Parents must pick up members promptly at 4:30pm. Please do not pick up early.

 

WHO CAN JOIN: Any student grades 4th through 12th, which exhibits good behavior and is in good academic standing. Students may be removed from the club due to behavior issues in their classes, club related events, excessive unexcused absences to meetings or lack of participation in the club. Students must maintain an overall grade of “C” or better
